Helpful tips :


Arinsal is a favourite hot spot for beginners.


Come prepared and be aware of the following:

- The weather changes frequently so never underdress.

- Good eye protection and sun screen is a must, even those cloudy days.

- Ski boots should be a firm and a comfortable fit, two pairs of socks is a NO-NO.

- Snowboarders we recommend wrist guards, to avoid wrist injuries.

- Buying equipment in Andorra is considerable cheaper, and you have the option to test and exchange the equipment.

- Finally we, at the Derby, are open to any question, and are here to offer any advice. The owners of the Derby are ACTIVE INSTRUCTORS and such will always be more than happy to help.




Helpful tips for experienced skiers:

Arinsal and Pal both offer good terrain for all levels of skiers.

Remember to :

- Warm up on easy slopes at the beginning of your skiing day.

- Respect the beginner's areas, don't pass through them at speed.

- Respect and obey the signs on the slopes.

- Remember to choose the slopes according to your level of skiing.

- Remember to stop on the side of the piste where visible.

- Take care of people skiing down the hill from you.

- Remember it is forbidden to ski on drag lift lines.

- Remember those wishing to go off piste, check the avalanche warning flag, ski with someone, use a transceiver and don't put yourself under unnecessary risk.

- But most of all, enjoy and have fun.
